
A by-election for the role of Students’ Union VP (Academic Affairs) will take place at the start of the first term (2021/22).
What does the role involve?
The VP (Academic Affairs) will work alongside the SU President and the other Vice Presidents (Diversity, Events, Finance, Welfare) and share responsibility for the smooth running of the Union. The VP (Academic Affairs) has particular responsibility for supporting student reps and ensuring there is student input into academic decisions, liaising with the President to bring any course-related issues to the attention of the Senior Management Team.
The Vice President roles are part-time roles for current students. These Executives Officers also receive a discretionary grant. The VP Academic Affairs will receive £1352.52 between October 2021-July 2022.
